Here is the third game of the 1936 World Series between the New York Giants
and the New York Yankees from October 3, 1936.  At this point in the series
it was tied up at one game apiece with the Giants winning the first and the
Yanks winning the second.  NBC covered the game with a tag team of
announcers who each described 3 innings.  They were Tom Manning of station
WTAM (?), Red Barber (then of WLW in Cincinnati) and Ty Tyson (who was the
Tigers announcer in the previous game post of station WWJ in Detroit).  A
bit of pre-game analysis is offered up by Warren Brown who was the sports
expert for the Chicago Herald Examiner newspaper.  The lineups:

The first two games had taken place at the Polo Grounds in New York, and
this third game saw the scene shift to Yankee Stadium.  This, by the way,
was Joe DiMaggio's rookie year with the Yanks.  That's all the tidbits I

broken the game up into four separate posts each lasting about 30 minutes.
